Optimizing What Exactly?


If just putting up a sign on the information super highway was all you needed to get customers we'd all be rich.  But that's not how it works.  There are millions of signs.  No one can be expected to see yours.  But with hundreds of millions of potential customers, and social media redefining word-of-mouth marketing, you'd be crazy not to try.

To improve your odds of being found you can use something called Search Engine Optimization (SEO.)  Without going in to detail it tries to push your Internet destination further up on the pile to make your 'sign' easier to see.  And you can spend a good deal of time an money on that.   But if your web site or landing pages for various ads or links are not optimized to infer value to the people who follow them, all you are doing is spending money for hits that fail to produce results.

You need a plan that optimizes everything so you are not just treading water or flushing money down the drain.
